Every interactive learning tool collects data, and scenario-based platforms can collect more than most: decisions, timing, attempts and reflections. Laws such as FERPA and COPPA in the United States, along with many state student-privacy laws, set expectations for how that information is handled, and districts increasingly review vendor practices before adoption.
Our approach starts with data minimization. RamIQ collects what is needed to support teaching and learning, and we avoid using student activity for advertising or unrelated profiling. Leaderboards and social features use teacher-controlled visibility and nicknames rather than exposing full names.
We also try to be honest about where we are. RamIQ is a developing product, and we do not claim certifications we have not earned. We work with participating institutions to review obligations and practices, and we treat privacy as an ongoing design responsibility.
