Over the past several years, a growing number of US states have passed laws requiring high-school students to complete a standalone personal-finance course before graduating. Advocacy groups tracking these laws report that a majority of states have now adopted or are phasing in such a requirement, a dramatic shift from only a handful a decade ago.
For schools, the policy goal is clear but implementation is hard. Many districts must staff new courses, find curriculum that fits local standards and fit it into already crowded schedules. Teachers assigned to these courses do not always have a background in finance, and students often see budgeting worksheets as abstract.
RamIQ was designed to help with exactly this moment. Our financial-literacy pathway follows the structure of widely used national standards and pairs each lesson with a playable RamQuest scenario. Teachers keep control of pacing and grading, while students practice decisions about earning, saving, credit and risk with safe, simplified consequences.
